Allegheny County property owners who wish to appeal their real estate assessment for 2025 will now have from August 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024, to do so, or they will miss the opportunity to have their assessments lowered.

This amendment, which took effect on June 6, 2024, was the result of a unanimous vote by Allegheny County, PA officials to change the time to appeal your 2025 property tax assessment. You may now appeal your 2025 property tax assessment from August 1, 2024, until October 1, 2024.
Despite the importance of this modification, the information has not been adequately communicated to the public, leaving property owners unaware of the new timeframe.
